Overview
NFL Honors is designed to celebrate the NFL season and excellence on and off the field. Current players and NFL Legends, combined with celebrities and fans all come together to make this the “must attend” event the night before the Super Bowl.
Project
Set in a modern and bright Symphony Hall in Phoenix, Arizona, Honors is bold, refined, and compliments the cleanliness of the venue with the sleekness that defines this event. This year we reinforce Honors as a preeminent celebration of the NFL elite—full of prestige, tradition and anticipation. We highlight the décor, the players, the event in a tasteful and powerful way.
Tasks & Role
Lead concept and visual design for event style guide, decor, tickets, print and digital ads, credentials, and presenter screens.

Approach
Initial Concepts
After some brainstorming, I put together a three sets of references and key statements related to themes from the event, to use as conceptual frameworks from which to base the visual direction of this year’s branding. After presenting the concepts and moodboards, I drafted early visual treatments to explore how we might execute each concept.
Final Result
After another round of presenting the three concepts to the Creative Director, the chosen concept to move forward with was “Sunburst”. This was my preferred direction due to its uniqueness and scalability across all required form factors.
Diving deeper into this concept, I brought in an elegant geometric pattern to bring in a high-end and subtle southwestern feel, and more hits of gold to add depth to the visuals and a sense of prominence to the occasion. After approval of the visual style, I extended the design to multiple touch points and form factors across event deliverables.
